Banana bread

Kimbie was able to get a cell phone connection and we heard from her a couple of times today. She was glad to be leaving the YMCA. Though the setting on the Kaenae Peninsula was beautiful (top photo), they were squeezed pretty tightly into their accommodations (next photo). They had cooked hamburgers for one meal and had spaghetti another time. Last night they held their own luau with catered food. Today she bought some banana bread from a place that claimed to have the best banana bread in the universe (bottom two photos), and she said it was very good. The last time we heard from her they were stopped at a beach after traveling along the famously winding Hana Highway -- 52 miles with 620 curves winding through a lush tropical rainforest. Later in the day they were scheduled to do some waterfall jumping.
