Kimbie sent this picture from the southernmost point in the entire US (latitude 18°54'39.67"N), on the Big Island of Hawaii. In about 2 months she'll be visiting another southerly point of distinction, the southernmost point in the continental US, which is in Key West, Florida (24°32'39.48"N). Because Hawaii and Key West are both islands, the southernmost point in the mainland US is right here in Texas, in Brownsville (25°50'26.00"N). And that concludes today's geography lesson.
