Kimbie just called to say they made it to Hawaii Preparatory Academy. While there, they'll eat all their meals in the school cafeteria. Not the best dining in the world (the chicken and noodles were "weird"), but at least it's convenient and they don't have to decide where to go and it's already paid for. Today she rode in the car driven by Mr. Schwarz, and he provided a running commentary of everything they passed. The weather is a misting rain. Also cool. The prep school is at an altitude of about 2500 feet. They saw lots of waterfalls and lush scenery. She said she wasn't tired even though she got up at 3:30 this morning. Said that the banana/macadamia pancakes were great, and that the place had mango, guava and coconut syrup. Tomorrow is another hike at Polulu Valley and a visit to King Kamehameha statue.
