The group arrived in Kauai yesterday. Their flight arrived right on time but apparently there was some trouble with checking in the large group because of a mix up. The weather in Kauai was good. The last we heard from Kimbie, they were driving up high in the mountains to the cabins where they'll be staying until Saturday, at Kokee State Park. There's no cell phone service there so we may not get many updates over the next few days. This morning they're scheduled to do another 11 mile hike. Tomorrow is the 8-mile "mud" hike at Alkali Swamp. Here's a picture from a previous trip.
